September 7, 2018
Our 2 Saturday clinics this year will be held at the surgery on 15 September and 13 October between 8.30 – 10.30am. If you are over 65 (or are currently 64 but will be 65 on March 31 2019) you are automatically entitled to the flu vaccine.
If you are under 65 but fall into one of the ‘at risk’ groups such as those with diabetes, asthma, COPD, or are pregnant then you are also entitled to receive the vaccination. If in doubt please check with Reception.
If you usually get your vaccination at the pharmacy then please consider supporting your GP practice instead – in addition to the Saturdays we are also offering small clinics on Tuesdays at either the start or end of the day for those who find Saturdays inconvenient.
Please contact us to book your appointment now! If you don’t want the vaccine then please let us know, you can email us at email@example.com and we will update your records accordingly.
If you already have an appointment with a GP, nurse or Healthcare assistant at any time after 10 September then we can probably give you the vaccine then to save another trip to the surgery (unless you are particularly unwell at the time).
Child Flu vaccination – as soon as we receive a delivery date for these we will be contacting those eligible to receive it, and updating the information on here. Please note that the nasal spray vaccine is now given to all children/young people up to the age of 18, and not the injection.
